MIC (Methionine, Inositol, Choline) Shots in Los Gatos

You eat well. You train. Yet, the scale has not moved in a year.

At YNC we use MIC shots as a tool within our weight loss toolbelt, alongside functional health testing, GLP-1 medications, and proven weight loss techniques. MIC only helps when the thing slowing your metabolism is something it can reach; finding that out comes first.

How Do MIC Shots Work?

An MIC shot is a powerful synergy of three targeted lipotropic compounds designed to support your metabolism. The shot takes under a minute and requires no downtime.

Here’s how they work:

  • Methionine is an essential amino acid, which means the body cannot make it and has to get it from food. It plays a role in normal liver function and in how the body processes fats.
  • Inositol is a naturally occurring compound, sometimes grouped with the B vitamins. It is involved in normal cell signaling, including the pathways the body uses to manage insulin and blood sugar.
  • Choline is an essential nutrient involved in normal liver function and fat metabolism. It is also used to build cell membranes and certain signaling molecules.

Together they are called lipotropic, meaning they are involved in how the body handles fat.

Who MIC Shots Are For?

MIC injections are for the person ready to reclaim their vitality. They are a solution-focused choice for when your labs show your metabolism is ready for a professional boost.

They may be suitable if you:

  • Are tired of hitting a wall every afternoon and feeling sluggish
  • Eat well and exercise, but you still struggle with your weight
  • Want a doctor-guided approach instead of generic plans

Who MIC Is Not For?

MIC isn’t suitable for those who:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have a known sensitivity to any component
  • Have some liver or kidney conditions
  • Are hoping to lose weight without changing nutrition, activity, or underlying cause

MIC shots aren’t a shortcut. They work best with nutrition, exercise, and finding what’s holding your progress back.

Why Patients Trust YNC for MIC Shots

Plenty of places around the South Bay sell these same three compounds off a menu. Here you pay for the decision about whether you need them, made by a Naturopathic Doctor who has read your labs, in a clinic Dr. Renee Young has owned since 2004.

We build our own blends, which is how B-BrainSync exists. Follow-ups check your progress and your labs, and the plan changes when the numbers do.

Available at our Los Gatos clinic, for patients across San Jose, Campbell, Cupertino, Saratoga and the wider South Bay.
