Longevity Testing in Los Gatos

You can’t fix what you can’t see.

Most people guess about their health until a symptom forces the issue. Longevity testing replaces guessing with measurement: how fast your body is actually aging, which systems are wearing first, and where your genetic risks sit. Then our Naturopathic Doctors turn those numbers into a plan.

Our longevity testing is part of a comprehensive longevity clinic in Los Gatos program designed to slow biological aging and help you feel your best at every stage of life. Longevity testing is one of many services we offer at Young Naturopathic Center for Wellness, spanning advanced diagnostics, regenerative therapies, and personalized wellness programs.

Testing tells you:

  • How your biological age compares to your chronological age.
  • Which systems are aging faster than the rest: heart, metabolism, bones, brain
  • Which follow-up steps may be appropriate based on your history, results, and goals.

Why Test at YNC

A testing platform mails you results. It can’t examine you, order the next test, or treat what it finds. YNC is doctor-owned and has been testing and treating in Los Gatos since 2004. We run VO2 max, DEXA, InBody, grip strength, advanced bloodwork, and more. The same doctors who order your tests build your plan and adjust it as your numbers move.

“Her advanced blood tests identified something unusual in my results – and she presciently predicted that I had prostate cancer, even though my PSA was still in a normal range for my age.”

What Longevity Testing Measures

Dr. Young frames aging around three measurable factors: hormonal decline, loss of glycemic control, and reduced cellular oxygenation. Testing starts with those three, then covers the systems that hold them up.

What we’re checking The tests What you learn
Biological age PNOE metabolic estimate (via VO2Max) How worn your body actually is, against the number on your license
Hormonal decline Full thyroid panel, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone; cortisol Whether hormones are behind your energy, weight, sleep, and mood
Glycemic control Insulin, fasting glucose, HbA1c Metabolic markers that may help your clinician assess blood sugar regulation and diabetes risk.
Cellular oxygenation and heart risk VO2 max (PNOE), coronary calcium score, EKG, Cleerly AI imaging, ApoB, Lp(a), hs-CRP How well oxygen reaches your cells, and cardiac risk a normal cholesterol result misses
Strength and structure Grip strength, InBody body composition, DEXA bone density How many of your years are likely to be active and independent
Nutrition, gut, and sleep NutrEval (130+ biomarkers), GI-MAP, Sleep Corner sleep study The specific gaps holding energy and recovery back
Inherited risk Genetic variants (MTHFR, ApoE, Factor V and II, 9p21), polygenic risk scores, telomere length Information from selected genetic tests that may help inform care when testing is appropriate and the results are clinically meaningful.
Early detection Galleri blood screen (50+ cancer types), Prenuvo full-body MRI What routine bloodwork can’t see, found early

And that’s not the full list. Food intolerance (189 foods plus Candida), mold and SIBO, toxin screens, and much more are on hand when your case calls for them.

Our longevity panels build on advanced blood work and lab testing that goes beyond routine labs, examining hormones, metabolism, gut health, immune function, and cardiovascular markers to reveal hidden imbalances.

We check your risk factors, genetics, background, and conditioning, plus what a standard checkup never looks at, then focus your treatment plan on your healthspan and lifespan, not an average patient’s.

Your consultation decides which tests you need. Nobody runs every test.

Who Longevity Testing Is For

You don’t need to feel unwell to benefit; the best time to look is before anything goes wrong. This suits people who:

  • Want to know their biological age, and move it
  • Have a family history worth getting ahead of
  • Are already investing in their health and want that effort spent where it counts
  • Would rather catch a problem early than discover it late

How It Works at Our Los Gatos Clinic

  1. Consultation, in person or virtual. A licensed provider reviews your health history, goals, and current lifestyle.
  2. Testing. Bloodwork is drawn on site, and VO2 max, InBody, DEXA, and grip strength are all run in-office at our Blossom Hill Road clinic. Want to start with a single test? VO2 max can be booked on its own.
  3. Results and plan. Your provider walks through every result with you and builds the plan, then re-checks key markers so it keeps pace.

FAQs

What is the Best Metric for Longevity?
No single metric wins. VO2 max, body composition, grip strength, and biological-age markers each read a different system; the picture comes from combining them.
I just had blood work at my physical. Is this different?
Yes. A standard physical checks a short list against average ranges, which is how people get told everything looks normal while feeling anything but. Longevity testing measures how you’re aging: full hormone function, insulin resistance, VO2 max, bone density, and genetic risk that a routine panel never touches.
What does longevity testing cost?
It depends on which tests your consultation points to; nobody is quoted for tests they don’t need. The first consultation is complimentary, and it’s where we walk through recommended testing, costs, and how out-of-network insurance reimbursement works.
How often should longevity testing be repeated?
Most markers are worth re-checking every 6 to 12 months. Your plan sets the exact cadence from your results.
