Long COVID Evaluation & Treatment in Los Gatos

You had COVID. You stayed home, rested, and waited for things to go back to normal. They didn’t.
Months later, you’re still not back to baseline. You wake up tired. Thinking feels slower. Everything takes more effort than it should. And the advice you keep getting is the same: give it time. It’s reassuring. But it isn’t doing anything.
Long COVID reaches past your lungs, into the immune, nervous, cardiovascular, and metabolic systems at once.
At YNC, we don’t wait it out. We test, then build the plan around what comes back.
Long COVID Symptoms We See
Symptoms don’t stay contained. Fatigue affects sleep. Poor sleep clouds thinking. One system drags the next down. This list will probably feel familiar:
- Fatigue and low stamina
- Brain fog or slow thinking
- Dizziness or headaches
- Shortness of breath or heart palpitations
- Sleep that does not restore you
- Anxiety or feeling wired but tired
- Muscle aches
- Slow recovery after even light effort
You don’t need to check every box. If something hasn’t felt right since COVID, that’s enough to take a closer look.

Advanced Testing for Long COVID
Standard tests often come back as normal and don’t explain what you’re feeling. Post-viral symptoms cross categories, which is why they get missed.
Testing here answers one question: what’s still out of sync?
Depending on your case, and what your doctor orders after careful evaluation, that can mean:
| What you feel | What we test | What it tells us |
|---|---|---|
| Persistent brain fog, neurological symptoms, or incomplete recovery | T-cell and immune profile panels | Whether exhausted T-cells indicate viral persistence and systemic neuroinflammation |
| Suspected co-infections or chronic low-grade symptoms | CD57 natural killer cell count and co-infection panels for EBV, Lyme disease, and more | Whether underlying chronic infections may be complicating recovery |
| Fatigue that rest doesn’t fix | HbA1c, fasting glucose, insulin, and thyroid panel (T3, T4 and TSH) | Whether this is an energy problem rather than a sleep problem |
| Wired but tired, with sleep that doesn’t restore | Cortisol and thyroid testing (T3, T4 and TSH) | How your hormone and stress systems are coping after months of strain |
| Aches and lingering inflammation | Cytokines, sedimentation rate (ESR), and inflammatory markers | Whether your immune system is still running hot |
| Crashing after light effort | PNOĒ VO₂ max analysis | How your body actually handles exertion |
| Slow, incomplete recovery | The NutrEval panel, covering 130+ biomarkers | Micronutrient gaps that may slow repair |
Because Long COVID is a systemic condition, we prioritize immune testing first to identify underlying viral persistence and immune exhaustion. Once we understand your immune baseline, we then perform targeted testing on your other body systems—such as metabolic, hormonal, and cardiovascular—to assess how the systemic inflammation has impacted your overall health.
Personalized Therapies at YNC
Once we know what’s driving your symptoms, we recommend therapies that fit that specific picture.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
HBOT involves breathing oxygen inside a pressurized chamber. HBOT has not been FDA-cleared to treat Long COVID. We use HBOT as part of our treatment protocols when it has been determined to be appropriate.
Sessions generally last 60 to 90 minutes. The number of sessions varies based on individual clinical evaluation, and no specific outcome is guaranteed. A prescription is required, written here by our Naturopathic Doctors, and we only recommend HBOT when your symptoms and results point that way.

IV Therapy
IV nutrient therapy bypasses the gut and delivers nutrients straight to your bloodstream. A licensed provider may consider IV therapy following an individual clinical evaluation. The IV formulations discussed here, including high-dose vitamin C, are not FDA-approved to treat Long COVID. Infusions take 30 to 90 minutes, prepared and run by our five-person IV and lab team with a doctor on site.

Treatment Response
Nobody here is handing you a countdown clock. Some people improve steadily. Others move in cycles: a good stretch, a setback, then progress again. Both are normal.
Responses vary, and no particular improvement or treatment outcome is guaranteed. Symptoms may fluctuate, and care plans may be adjusted based on clinical response.
“I was tired of getting only minutes of my doctor’s time and then being told everything I was experiencing was just ‘normal for your age’… I still have challenges, but I am a full 180 from where I was when I first sought them out.”

Why Patients Choose YNC
Most care feels fragmented. One appointment here, another provider there, and every visit starts over. You explain your story again. And again.
At our Los Gatos clinic, serving San Jose and the South Bay, your care stays with the same provider from your first visit through follow-ups. We’ve been doctor-owned since 2004, and HBOT and IV therapy are delivered here rather than referred out, so the plan gets built and run in one place.
What to Expect
- Consultation: You’ll sit down with a licensed provider, in person or online, and actually finish a sentence before getting redirected. We focus on what’s been tried and what still doesn’t make sense.
- Testing: Ordered around your symptoms rather than a default panel.
- Personalized plan: Supportive therapies, lifestyle changes, and follow-up visits to track what’s working.
