We see patients with many health issues needing guidance on what to eat to feel and look their best. Food intolerances, inflammatory and autoimmune conditions all need a specific diet. A person experiencing hormonal problems, like too much estrogen, is another issue. For many of our clients, the most common reason for coaching is dealing with a chronic health issue or weight loss. Eating the wrong diet for your body leaves you feeling sick, fat, tired and frustrated.

That’s where we come in. Young Naturopathic Center for Wellness has helped thousands of individuals get on the right diet to feel their best. We help our clients get off the weight-loss roller coaster and figure out what healthy is for them, so they can step permanently into the healthy, trim bodies nature intended.

About Dr. Renee Young

Dr. Renee Young is a Naturopathic Doctor licensed by the state of California as a primary care doctor and one of the first Naturopathic Doctors licensed in California. While she treats patients of all ages with various conditions, her specialties include women’s health and weight loss. She has successfully treated hundreds of individuals with conditions contributing to their weight gain, such as thyroid disorders, menstrual irregularities, peri-menopause, polycystic ovarian syndrome, autoimmune diseases, food allergies and many more.

Dr. Young developed her weight loss coaching program out of a passionate desire to help as many people as possible achieve the long-term weight loss success only possible with an individualized, medically sound weight loss plan specifically designed for one’s unique body and lifestyle.

Chronic Illnesses

Chronic illness may be caused by prolonged stress, environmental toxins, genetics and/or other factors. Whether you suffer from a well-publicized disease like diabetes, heart disease, arthritis or fibromyalgia, or a lesser-known condition such as MTHFR or Grave’s disease, chronic illness can be debilitating and leave you feeling helpless and alone.

Many, if not most, chronic illnesses respond very well to diet and other lifestyle changes, such as stress reduction techniques. However, it is important to coordinate these treatments with proper medical care. Your Young Naturopathic Center for Wellness Health and Wellness Coach will work in tandem with our doctors to help identify exactly why you are experiencing the symptoms of chronic illness and empower you with the right diet, strategies and caring support to help you have a normal life again—or even say goodbye to chronic pain and illness forever.

Food Intolerance

Up to 30% of people suffer from food intolerances or sensitivities. Left undiagnosed and untreated, these conditions can leave you feeling chronically tired and uncomfortable. They can also cause mild to severe mental health symptoms and/or weight gain.

Food sensitivities can affect any organ in the body. It’s not uncommon for symptoms to show up hours or even days after eating the trigger food. This makes identifying and treating food intolerance extremely difficult. Many people struggle to follow the elimination diets and food tracking protocols necessary to figure it all out. If you have food intolerances, our coaches will help you figure out exactly what to eliminate and for how long, and what to eat instead so you can quickly and confidently move forward towards regaining the vibrant health you want and deserve.

Weight Loss

Most people who come to us don’t know why they can’t lose weight. They just know that what they’ve tried in the past hasn’t worked, and they want a solid plan of action to fix it…for good. But without understanding what’s really wrong, or knowing what WILL work, those pounds will just keep coming back. That’s where we can help.

Despite the zillions of over-the-counter remedies and internet diet plans out there, weight loss is a medical issue at its core. Our weight loss coaches work hand in hand with our medical staff to get to the root of why you can’t lose weight and provide you the compassionate support and expert advice you need to safely and permanently shed those extra pounds.

Diet Support

Finding the perfect diet for you is just half the battle. The other half is learning to stick with it in a way that you enjoy and fits your lifestyle. Our coaching programs may include:

  • Specialty Diet Support – Do you want to try or have you been recommended a particular diet (such as Paleo, Slow-Carb, or AIP?) We can help eliminate the confusion and frustration surrounding these diets so you can accurately assess whether they will work for you, and if so, learn exactly how to follow them with ease.
  • Doctor Prescribed Diet – What if you could know for sure the exact diet that will fully support your body’s unique needs? Let us help you bypass years of costly trial-and-error with a diet custom-designed just for you. In addition to knowing exactly what you can and can’t eat for optimal health, we’ll also help you with meal planning and food preparation ideas that will help you enjoy your new protocol and avoid “falling off the wagon” so you can keep feeling great for years to come.

Here’s how the Young Naturopathic Center for Wellness Health & Weight Loss Coaching program works:

It’s important that your health or weight loss plan be medically sound. But, it’s also a lifestyle issue. You deserve to have a diet and health improvement plan you can reasonably follow. And finally, there has to be an element of social support and accountability to help you get through those inevitable rough patches in your journey back to vibrant health.

You need all three types of support—medical, lifestyle, and social—to achieve optimal results. And that’s what you’ll get when you work with our team of coaches. Our program includes:

  • Personal Coaching — Weekly 30-minute sessions with our certified health coach. Your coach will prescribe a doctor-approved diet and lifestyle plan custom-tailored to your individual needs and give you the ongoing personal support and accountability you need to stay on track with your goals. Depending on your location, sessions can be conducted in person at the clinic or remotely via phone or video conference.
  • Weekly Weigh-Ins — Local clients have the option of coming into our clinic for a weekly InBody body mass index (BMI) weigh-in—a much more accurate measure of progress than body weight alone. It’s a great way to stay motivated, with our whole staff as a cheerleading section!
  • Meal Planning — You will receive your very own doctor-approved meal plan, custom-tailored to your individual body, lifestyle, and health and fitness goals. Your meal plan will ensure that you never get bored, fall into the skip-and-binge trap, or make poor choices because you don’t know what to eat.
  • Email Support — Got a question between coaching sessions? Reach out to us via email for personal assistance and support.
  • Expert Medical Backup Care — Usually, finding the right diet and lifestyle program and getting the support you need to stick with it is all you need to shed those extra pounds and/or start feeling and looking great again. But sometimes, we may need to address underlying issues such as hormonal imbalance as well. In that case, we will refer you to Dr. Young or one of our other doctors. Either way, we work together to get to the root of the problem and create a medically sound and achievable solution to fix it.

45 Minute Introductory Consultation

$149.00

Get clarity on your health, wellness and weight loss goals. In this one-time-only session, your coach will assess where you are, set realistic goals for improvement and create a do-able plan for achieving them. For new coaching clients only. If you decide to upgrade to one of our more intensive programs to achieve your goals, we will credit the cost of this session towards one of our programs and count this as your first session. This is a great way to get a realistic picture of what it takes to achieve your goals!

6 Week Jumpstart/ HCG Transition to Phase 3

$525.00 (3 hours of personalized coaching @ $175/hour)

There are two ways to use this plan. The first is for those who just need a push in the right direction. Get started with a custom-formulated six-week program to help nail your health or weight loss goals. The second is for those who have been diagnosed with a condition (such as food intolerances, AIP, etc.) that requires additional guidance. Six weeks will help get you on the right track.
