PRP Facial Rejuvenation
PRP Facial Rejuvenation
What is PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) And How Does It Help Facial Rejuvenation?
Plasma from your body contains properties that promote essential and specific growth factors that assist in tissue healing and regeneration such as stem cells and other blood-related products. These properties are biologically designed to be activated when applied to the face to create new collagen – the main ingredient for tauter, smoother and toned skin.
PRP Facial Rejuvenation is a simple in-office, non-surgical procedure, which uses the regenerative properties of a concentrated quantity of rejuvenating ingredients taken from your own blood!
Benefits of PRP:
- Healthier skin appearance
- Tighter and smoother looking skin
- Thicker dermis (reducing wrinkles and scars)
- Improved skin tone
- Minimal down time and discomfort
- Natural results
Who’s a good candidate?
Because PRP utilizes the patient’s natural blood and proteins, the treatment is extremely safe and poses minimal side effects. PRP treatment is ideal for patients who do not want to undergo surgery and who are looking for a gradual improvement in their skin’s appearance and seek noticeable, natural looking results.
The goal of PRP skin rejuvenation therapy is to help improve skin tone and texture, tighten skin, reduce acne scars, minimize dark spots and freckling, softens fine lines and wrinkles as well as shrink pores. Some patients notice an immediate “glow” to their skin. Visible changes to the skin can occur over the course of several weeks. Results can continue to improve up to 6 months after the treatment and last for up to two years .
Micro-Needling Facial Rejuvenation
What is micro-needling?
Micro-needling involves a device that is used to rejuvenate the skin and improve the skin surface by reducing fine lines, expression lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores and acne scars. The concept of micro-needling is based on the skin’s natural ability to repair itself whenever it encounters physical injury such as cuts, burns and other abrasions. As the micro-needling device moves across the skin, it makes pinpoint punctures to create very minor “micro-injuries”. In response to the perceived “injury,” a cascade of growth factors is released, which in turn triggers new collagen synthesis.
This process has two major benefits:
1. It effectively stimulates collagen formation and provides a clear channel for topical serums to be absorbed through the surface of the skin.
2. By persistently triggering this healing process with a series of micro-needling treatments, the body keeps repairing the skin incrementally and cumulatively to offer a result similar to fractional laser treatments or chemical peels, but without the side effects and extended downtime.
The result is smoother, firmer and younger looking skin. Once the desired result has been achieved, it is important to maintain collagen stimulation by returning for quarterly maintenance treatments. While most commonly used on the face, micro-needling can also be used to restore and regenerate the skin on the neck, chest, and hands. Micro-needling is safe for all colors of skin and all types of skin.
